Confirming delivery
Once a seller confirms your order, a 45-day delivery window begins. This period ensures funds remain protected in escrow while your physical goods are in transit.
The 45-Day Delivery Window
Section titled “The 45-Day Delivery Window”This window accommodates international shipping and potential logistics delays. During this time, you should monitor your delivery and inspect the items upon arrival.
Signaling Completion
Section titled “Signaling Completion”If you have received your items and are satisfied, you should Signal Completion.
- Action: This sends a signal to the blockchain.
- Result: The escrow smart contract releases funds directly to the seller.
Handling Issues
Section titled “Handling Issues”If the items do not arrive within 45 days, are damaged, or do not match the description:
- Wait for the Window to End: The protocol requires the 45-day window to lapse before a refund can be requested.
- Grace Period: You will have a 7-day grace period immediately following the delivery window to request a refund.
Buyer Inactivity & Automated Payouts
Section titled “Buyer Inactivity & Automated Payouts”The protocol is designed to resolve orders even if a party becomes unresponsive.
- The 7-Day Grace Period: After the 45-day window, you have one final week (Days 45–52) to either signal completion or request a refund.
- Seller Payout: If you remain inactive for the full 52 days (45 days + 7 days grace), the seller can claim their payout.
- Escrow Release: The smart contract verifies the elapsed time and releases the funds to the seller automatically upon their request.
