Accepting orders

Algoosh enables sellers to reach customers through modern, QR-code driven commerce. Whether you are selling online or at a physical storefront, managing your orders is handled through a secure, non-custodial protocol on the Algorand blockchain.

To begin selling, you must create and publish a product catalog containing the details of your physical goods.

  • Flexible Hosting: Sellers can host their catalogs via a Content Delivery Network (CDN) or their own infrastructure.
  • On-Chain References: Once hosted, you submit catalog references and encryption keys to the Algorand blockchain. This links your inventory to the automated escrow system.
  • QR Code Generation: After your catalog is live, generate unique QR codes that buyers can scan to browse and initiate a private checkout.

When a buyer places an order, their funds move directly into an escrow smart contract. You have a 5-day window to confirm the order.

Check Before Confirming

Before accepting, verify that:

  1. The physical items are in stock.
  2. You can handle the logistics for real-world delivery or pickup.
  • Secure Delivery Data: Upon receiving an order, use your shop’s credentials to decrypt the buyer’s delivery information. This data is end-to-end encrypted; Algoosh never sees the plaintext details.
  • Risk of Inactivity: If you do not confirm within 5 days, the buyer can cancel the order and recover their funds from escrow immediately.

Confirming an order signals to the protocol that you have accepted the transaction.

  • Timeline: Confirmation triggers the 45-day delivery window.
  • Action: You should move quickly to package and ship the goods to ensure a smooth path to payout.
