Glossary

A secure storage mechanism on the Algorand blockchain used by Algoosh to store order metadata and encrypted delivery information. Each order is contained within its own dedicated application box.

An optional, last-resort resolution process where Algoosh reviews evidence of physical delivery and signals the escrow smart contract to release funds to the correct party.

A 5-day period following order creation where the seller must confirm they can fulfill the physical order.

The 45-day period reserved for the real-world shipping and delivery of physical goods. During this window, buyers can signal completion but cannot yet request a refund.

Sensitive order data—such as delivery addresses and contact details—that is end-to-end encrypted on the buyer’s device. It is only readable by the buyer and the seller.

A non-custodial smart contract on the Algorand blockchain that holds order funds. It ensures assets are only released according to protocol rules and explicit user signals.

A 7-day period immediately following the 45-day delivery window. This is the exclusive window for buyers to request a refund or for sellers to claim a payout if the buyer is inactive.

A system where the protocol (Algoosh) never takes possession or control of user funds. Assets are managed entirely by smart contracts.

A commerce model where sellers publish catalogs via QR codes, enabling buyers to scan, browse, and checkout privately using mobile devices.

An explicit on-chain action taken by a user (e.g., “Confirm Order,” “Signal Completion,” “Request Refund”) that triggers a state change in the escrow contract.
